RAWALPINDI: Terrorists carried out coordinated attacks on police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, leaving one policeman martyred, six others injured, and one missing.

The channel reported that in Balochistan’s Sherani district, militants stormed the District Headquarters Police and Levies Line around 11 pm.

According to Deputy Commissioner Hazrat Wali Kakar, policeman Altaf-ur-Rehman of Khanozai was martyred, while Levies personnel Wahid Harifal and Kalu Khan sustained injuries.

Another official, Azam Khan, remains missing as search operations continue. The attack also destroyed the police station’s communication system.

The Sherani administration has vowed to support the affected families and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Meanwhile, in Bannu (KP), over 200 terrorists launched a massive assault on the Mazanga police post within the Hoveed police station limits. According to DPO Salim Abbas Kalachi, both sides exchanged heavy gunfire.

Despite explosives damaging the post’s boundary wall, police repelled the militants, forcing them to flee.

Four policemen sustained minor injuries and were rushed to the hospital. Police claimed to have killed several attackers in retaliatory fire.
